Inaugurating the conference, he said, “We are called to be shepherds. While taking care of the sheep that God has entrusted to us, we should also be able to lead society”. “We should not close our eyes to the hard realities” he added.
A total of 146 delegates, including Bishops, vicar generals, and senior clergy from across the dioceses of the church are currently participating in the seven-day conference. They will deliberate and take decisions on various aspects of the church and its mission to serve God and humanity.
The conference will draw to a close on 5th December 2016.
