Plantation and Cleanliness Drive Mark Independence Day Celebration in Diocese of Solan

On 15th August 2016, Believers Church Diocese of Solan celebrated the 70th Independence Day with much enthusiasm and fervor. The church carried out cleanliness drive and tree plantation to mark the celebrations.

The day started with hoisting of the national flag by the guest of honor, Mr. M. K. Gupta (Deputy Manager of State Bank of India, Solan). After the flag hoisting program, staff and volunteers of the church went to a Police Station and cleaned its premises.

Another team consisting of Sunday School children, Youths and Women’s Fellowship members went and planted 30 Cedar saplings at the backyard of a Forest Department office.

In the evening a cultural program also was held where the youths of the church performed dances, songs and skits on the theme ‘Independence’.
