Diocese of Chandigarh Distributes Relief Supplies and Clothes to Jammu and Kashmir Flood-Affected Individuals

On 22nd September 2014, Believers Church Diocese of Chandigarh organized a relief supply distribution program for flood victims in Jammu and Kashmir. 700 people from four different villages received ration kits containing rice, wheat, oil, pulses and salt, clothes and medicated mosquito nets that day.

This year, extraordinarily heavy rainfalls caused severe flooding in hundreds of villages in Jammu and Kashmir. It took the lives of many and left lakhs homeless and suffering with hunger and thirst.

Mr. Surinder Choudhary (People Democratic Party Candidate) was the chief guest and he distributed the relief supplies to the beneficiaries. Mr. Suresh Choudhary (Tahsildar) also attended the program.

The beneficiaries were happy and expressed their gratitude with tears for giving them these supplies. Because most of them are going to have a meal for the first time after the flood.

Believers Church organizes such relief supply distributions and reconstruction works in disaster affected areas to provide some relief and shelter to the affected individuals.
