Sisters of Compassion Empower Widows through Adult LIteracy Program

Sisters of Compassion from the Diocese of Gujarat recently started conducting literacy classes for illiterate widows. Currently 23 widows attend the classes. Among this group, three women have already learned to read and write.

Sis. Gangaben, a widow, said “I never got a chance to attend school, but now I can write. I am so happy and thankful to the sisters for teaching me.” She took the challenge to encourage her neighbors to attend the literacy class.

Believers Church works hard to eradicate illiteracy from communities through adult literacy classes.
