Agartala Diocese Releases Kokborok Literacy book

Believers Church Agartala Diocese released its new literacy book, Saaksharatha Pusthak, in the local language Kokborok on 25th November. Dr. Ranjit Debbarma (Chief Executive Member, Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council) inaugurated the program.

“I do believe that the success of this literacy program ultimately depends on the willingness and cooperation of the people,” said Dr. Ranjit to the gathering. “I call upon each and every individual to take up this challenge and contribute in making our state free from the clutches of illiteracy.”

Swapna (Local Unit Literacy Teacher) expressed her desire to reach the maximum amount of people, “with the aim of educating the people of Tripura”.

Believers Church’s literacy project is currently helping more than 30,000 adults learn to read.
