Diocese of Jonai Distributes Over 2,500 kilograms of Food Supplies Among Flood Affected Families

To lend a supporting hand to flood victims and mitigate their sufferings caused by the natural calamity, Believers Church Diocese of Jonai distributed over 2,500 kilograms of dry rations during flood relief distributions held at two places on 28th August 2017.

A total of 200 families received the relief materials distributed by the church. Each family received a dry ration package consisting of rice, oil, dal and salt.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest, Mr. Jonmiswar Permey (Area president) said, “I really appreciate the leadership of Believers Church for taking initiative to help the flood affected families in time of their need”. He further said, “Whenever a disaster occurs anywhere, Believers Church would strive to reach their first to help the people in need. I am really motivated by the work of the church”.

Menoka Pegu, a beneficiary said, “Following the floods, most of us got sick. We were not able to work and meet our daily needs. We are so grateful to you for distributing these necessities”.
