Minister Distributes Mosquito Nets and Blankets to Over 1,000 Poor People in Diocese of Lucknow

Believers Church Diocese of Lucknow distributed mosquito nets and blankets to the poor and physically challenged people at a program held in a village on 8th December 2016.

Mr. Ravidas Mehrotra (Family, Women and Child Welfare Minister, Uttar Pradesh) was invited as chief guest for the program. The event had an audience of around 1,500 people.

While delivering the inaugural address, Minister Mr. Ravidas Mehrotra, lauded the work of Believers Church. As a token of appreciation and in recognition of the church’s contribution in the field of child education, health, and welfare of the underprivileged children of society, he presented an award to Dr. K.P. Yohannan, Metropolitan of Believers Church.

During the program, the diocese distributed 1,200 mosquito nets and 275 blankets to the poor and needy people. Many disabled, blind, mute, deaf persons including beggars received the gift items that day. They expressed their thankfulness and appreciated the church for doing such a good work for the society.
