Diocese of Patna Holds Massive Cleanliness Drive on Independence Day

Believers Church Diocese of Patna celebrated the 70th Independence Day with patriotic fervor on 15th August 2016.

The celebration began with the hoisting of the tricolor flag and speech highlighting the sacrifices made by freedom fighters. After the flag hoisting program, staff, youths, Bridge of Hope children and volunteers of the church took part in mass cleanliness drives.

With the mission to clean as well as create awareness about the importance of hygiene and sanitation among local people, the church organized these clean-up drives in different locations.

The teams swept roads with brooms, weeded out wild plants from the roadsides, and collected heaps of garbage in trash bags.

Sunday School children of the diocese also celebrated the day with flag hoisting, social work, and cultural program.
