Slum Dwellers Thank Believers Church for Providing Them Access to Safe Drinking Water

March 30, 2016

Believers Church Uttarakhand installed a new bore well in a slum on 30th March 2016.

The women and children in this slum beg for money on the streets while the men do menial jobs to make ends meet. There were no water facilities available in their locality and they used to fetch water from the pipes installed on the road sides. This water wasn’t safe for drinking. But, they had no other choice than to continue using it for their daily needs.

Since they did not have money to install a hand pump in their slum, Believers Church took the initiative to provide them instant access to clean drinking water.

“Now, it is easy for me to get water at any time, because the well is near my home,” said Savitri, a slum dweller happily. “From now on, my children will be able to take bath every day. Thank you for installing this bore well for us and helping us to get fresh water all the time,” Savitri added.
