Diocese of Kolkata Helps Over 800 Flood-Affected Families With Relief Aid

Believers Church Diocese of Kolkata reached to flood affected families in 10 different places with relief aid in the second week of July 2015. Over 800 families were helped through these distributions.

Bishop Dr. Juria Bardhan, Mr. Rafiqur Rahaman (MLA), Mrs. Bina Mondal (MLA) and Mr. Bisojit Bandhayae (Inspector Commander) were the chief guests in these places. The MLAs appreciated the church for being the first to reach to these affected people with relief work. Later, they distributed the items to each people.

The victims received the items like rice, dhal and biscuits and tarpaulins which were very much needed for their survival. They thanked the church for helping them in their crisis.

Through its Humanitarian Assistance project, Believers Church reaches out to the victims of natural disasters with immediate help and support.
