Literacy Class Inaugurated on World Literacy Day in Diocese of Jasidih

Believers Church Diocese of Jasidih inaugurated a Literacy Class Unit on International Literacy Day, 8th September 2014. The main purpose of starting this class is to empower illiterate women through education.

Rev. Fr. Arunjit inaugurated the unit and he spoke to the gathering about the importance of education in one’s life. He also encouraged them to learn how to read and write.

50 women enrolled for the classes on that day

85 people attended the program and 50 women had their first teaching session that day.

“I am so thankful towards church for giving us a chance to learn how to read and write,” said Pano Marandi, one of the enrolled students.

Believers Church improves community by increasing the literacy through the adult literacy programs.
